What's new on WME?

Suggest an edit

Want to fix something on the map but need to level up first? Not anymore! Use this new feature to suggest edits to some map attributes you can’t access yet. A higher-level editor will approve them and you get points! Learn more.

Real time closures on turns

Finally, you can add closures to specific turns and they will behave identically to closures on segments. They are real time, so no need to wait for a tile build!

Chat groups

Chat groups are for local communities who want to learn together or just keep in touch! They’re available across the WME, Wazeopedia, the Forum and Discuss. If you’re a coordinator, request a chat group.

Meetups and events

NA Mega Meetup 2024

101 Wazers from across the US, Canada and Mexico descended on Atlanta, Georgia, where the community spirit was on fire! The energy was high as workshops and fun activities led to new friendships and ideas for the future of Waze.

Waze Cafe in Latvia

Editors from Latvia, Lithuania and Uzbekistan met in Riga! Staff from the Riga Municipal Road Department joined the group to talk about Waze features for editors and partners. Kudos for coming together!

Waze Cafes and meetups were also held in Colombia, Czechia, the Netherlands and the US.

Community achievements

Floods in Kenya and Brazil

Kudos to the communities in Kenya and Brazil for reporting heavy rains in enough time to warn drivers with flood zone alerts. Thank you for helping the locals stay safe!

Dominican Republic Map Raid

Over 40 editors across Central America and the Caribbean joined forces to map over 6,000 schools across the Dominican Republic. You deserve a huge round of applause for making navigation to schools safer.
