SKILL: Debate

Unit Skill: Debate

1. Students will be assigned a position for the debate - US Senator, presenter for one of the choices, or a member from a country represented on the US Security Council.

2. You will prepare for the position by researching the values associated with the role. In addition to preparing for how you will present the values, you will also work on how to defend your position and address the weaknesses in others' arguments.

3. You will evaluate which argument was best presented and how to make a decision based on the presentations.
