LP week 8, 1st 9 weeks

DATES: 10/9-10/12

Spanish 1-

Monday- Complete the Definite and Indefinite article Pixel Art page. Turn it in on GC when completed. Translate the Around the Room Vocabulary with a dictionary. Use the gender rules notes to create the tags.

Tuesday- Practice the Around the Room Vocab with a partner. Go over pronunciation with the pronunciation stars. 

Wednesday-  Discuss synonyms and differing translations among the Spanish- speaking countries using the infograph for pen. Complete the Pixel Art pages and turn them in to GC. 

Thursday- Label the room. Tour the room, read the Around the Room Labels

Coming up: Fill in the incomplete vocab sentences from the Frases utiles slide (puedo tener...). Play Blooket-Objetos de la Clase tetris. Socratic method with the around the room vocab. Mix up the labels and try to find the right match. Mix them up for the next class. Start numbers notes. Practice number vocabulary with counting activities, color by numbers, numbers practice with magnets, math problems, flashcards, bingo, deal or no deal

Spanish 2- All week- Stem-changers

Monday and Tuesday- Finish the stem-change paper with a partner and put the answers on the board for beads. Go over pronunciation and tuning our ear to Spanish orthography.  

Wednesday- Pixel Art practice. Turn in to GC when finished. 

 Thursday- Practice conjugations with Rapid Conjugation page. Some are stem-changers and some are not. Sound them out to hear the difference.

Spanish 3-

Monday- Translate the Capítulo 1 Reading Comprehension recipe. Answer the 5 comprehension questions.

Tuesday- Reading comprehension- translate the step-by-step process for cereal. Write every step for a simple recipe.

Wednesday- Translate your own recipe into Spanish and trade with a partner. 

Thursday-  The partner must translate the new recipe.

Spanish 4-

Monday- Finish the color coded reflexives and non-reflexives from the Lectura Extendida story. Get the last set of pronouns notes- Direct Objects

Tuesday- Play Lo Veo to practice the D.O.P.s and correct pronoun placement in a single verb construction. Play conjugation Jenga.

Wednesday and Thursday- Get Capítulo 4 Hoja de práctica 4-1 and 4-2. Translate the sentences. Circle the direct objects. Identify correct DOPs. Work together to merge Direct and Indirect objects.

Culture- Immigration

Monday- Finish the last 4 video clips on Google Classroom. 

Tuesday- Watch the Other Side of Immigration. Turn in WebQuests. 

Wednesday- Take the immigration test. Could you pass it? Go over the results of the immigration test. Review some other sample questions from this year´s test. Discuss range of difficulty, the language used, the cost of the test and testing dates/sites. Get debate side assignments. 

Thursday-  Immigration debate. If you are absent, the debate questions will be on Classroom and must be filled out and returned. Email me for the side of the debate you should be arguing for.
