Spanish 1 

Monday- Time pixel image reveal. Warm up- quizizz- days, months and seasons.

Tuesday- Complete and turn in image reveal if not completed yesterday.  Write class schedule sentences on El Horario using the Time Expressions and Practice Notes on GC. Go over the answers aloud. 

Wednesday- Work on Calendar questions from GC. 

Thursday- Get weather notes on GC. Use the dictionary to translate. Exit ticket- turn in the Google Slides Vocabulario del Clima activity.

Coming up- Take a tour of the News room on GC. Watch the Youtube videos and complete the EdPuzzles. 

Standards-

Infer meaning of unfamiliar vocabulary using word families. Make comparisons between the native and target languages and cultures. Extend conversational skills by interacting with the language in culturally appropriate ways. 

Spanish 2 

Monday- Sentence diagraming. Identify parts of speech and the jobs each word is responsible for. Read the reflexive reading passage. Use sentence diagraming and stepping stones notes to aid in comprehension. 

Tuesday- Daily sentence. Read the reflexive reading passage. Answer the comprehension questions. Use sentence diagraming and stepping stones notes to aid in comprehension. 

Wednesday- Daily sentence. Read Pobre Ana with the whole class and in pairs. Answer the comprehension questions from the paired reading. Use sentence diagramming and stepping stones notes to aid in comprehension. 

Thursday- Read Pobre Ana with the whole class and in pairs. Answer the comprehension questions from the paired reading. Use sentence diagraming and stepping stones notes to aid in comprehension. 

Coming up- Work in pairs to complete the Daily Routine slides on classroom.

Spanish 3 All week- Bring in Authentic food and discuss common themes

Monday- Auditory practice- color the animal pictures based on the verbal instructions. Add new adjectives to the vocabulary list. Start planning for the zoo. 

Tuesday- Warm-up- Play foto magnificada on GC. Read the animals book on GC. Listen to the children´s songs on Rockalingua. Discuss cultural differences- different animal noises. 

Wednesday-  Play the word scramble with the animal vocabulary. Play the WordWall games to practice vocab.

Thursday- Zoo due. Use commands to walk ¨Señora¨ through the zoo.

Monday- Translate the sentences from Arco & Alamedas Cap 1. Put the 8 sentences on the board. Discuss sentence structure for commands v. giving advice and the cultural implications of the tones of each. Complete page 7 parte G together- switching each affirmative to a negative command. 

Tuesday- negative command construction with page 8. Complete page 6 parte D. Review sentence structure for making rules and commands formations. Discuss direct commands v. passive construction

Wednesday-Thursday- Centers Activity- respond appropriately to the prompts on each advice card.

Monday-Wednesday- Work through the History of Spanish slides and complete the answer scavenger hunt as we go. To be turned in at the end of the slideshow. 

Thursday- Complete the Arabic influence comprehension questions.
