Spanish 1-

Monday-Get Basic Conversation starters and Key Phrases for the Spanish Class notes. Practice pronunciation with pronunciation stars. Opus Dei report homework assigned. 

Tuesday- Watch the Señor Jordan videos and complete the comprehension questions. Complete the Drag and Drop activity on GC. 

Wednesday- Complete the Saludos y Despedidos conversation practice on GC using the new vocabulary. Practice pronunciation.

Thursday-Practice greetings and farewells on cloze activity. Add basic conversation starters. Opus Dei homework is due.

Friday- Hispanic Heritage Month begins-Opus Dei class discussion.  

Upcoming- Hispanic Heritage Month explanation and Person of Interest project. 

Standards

Interpersonal- Use digital and cultural resources appropriately. 

Presentational- Communicate with emerging awareness of pronunciation, spelling, and mechanics to increase comprehensibility. 

Spanish 2- 

Monday- Finish the conjugation packet in pairs. Start putting the answers on the board for beads and to practice pronunciation. Identify new vocabulary to add to the glossary and word wall. 

Tuesday- Put the answers on the board for beads and to practice pronunciation. Identify new vocabulary to add to the glossary and word wall. 

Wednesday- Cube and dice game to practice rapid conjugation practice. Compete for the most correct answers. 

 Thursday- Complete the verb conjugation practice page on GC. Turn in for a grade when completed. 

Friday- Hispanic Heritage Month begins. Complete the WordWall games to practice pronunciation of all 3 verb types.

Spanish 3 AND 4- Read Pobre Ana together as a class. Identify unfamiliar vocabulary words, add grammar rules to the interactive notebook, use the nuance to review tone and expression. Answer comprehension questions and practice pronunciation.

Tuesday- Finish EdPuzzle- Aztecs, Tenochtitlan C6S3. Discuss the episode. Us vs. Them mentality. Start at 35:15. 

Tuesday- History Channel- Mayan Empire. Answer the comprehension questions. Discuss Popol Vuh- Mayan Creation story. 

Wednesday-  Watch Roseanne clip- Pitz Game. Pictures from Chichen Itza. Study the Mayan writing page and pass around the Mayan Calendar. Watch Mayan math EdPuzzle. Read the Mayan Ice Mummies article from NOVA.

Thursday- watch Inca- Secrets of the Lost Empires

Friday- Watch National Geographic- The Great Inca Rebellion. Fill in the Venn Diagram for the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas.
