Spanish 1-

Tuesday- Letter flashcards warm-up. Practice letters with individual white boards. Make pronunciation stars.

Wednesday- Practice dictation test. 

Thursday- Alphabet test.

Friday- Definition: cognate, false cognate. Discuss Spanish words we use in English.

Standards

Interpersonal- Use digital and cultural resources appropriately. 

Presentational- Communicate with emerging awareness of pronunciation, spelling, and mechanics to increase comprehensibility. 

Spanish 2- 

Tuesday, Wednesday- Get the ER, IR verb conjugation and translation packet. Work with partners, using conjugation notes to correctly conjugate and translate the sentences in present tense. 

 Thursday- Put the answers on the board. Pronunciation practice. Identify unfamiliar words and word families. 

Friday- Finish going over the packet answers together. Get worksheet practice page 7-3 & 7-5. Work to conjugate and translate with partners. Practice pronunciation and identify unfamiliar words and word families. 

Standards

Presentational- Communicate with appropriate language in written and spoken language. 

Interpersonal literacy- Continue and extend conversations. Increase comprehensibility and clarity of expression. Infer meaning of unfamiliar language. 

Spanish 3-All Week- Review conjugations, stem-changers, first person irregulars, and reflexive pronouns. 

Tuesday- Warm-Up- Fill in the Calientamento review boxes on the board and go over the answers together at the buzzer. Use individual white boards and teams to review the 4 pillars of present tense. Identify weaknesses.

Wednesday- Play Gimkit to review the 4 pillars in teams. 

Thursday- Get reflexive packet and review the use of pronouns. Work on translating reflexive Lectura Extendida story and underlining the reflexive and non-reflexive verbs. 

Friday- Complete the Lectura Extendida story. Practice pronunciation and identify unfamiliar words and word families.

Spanish 4-

Tuesday-Get reflexive packet and review the use of pronouns. Work on translating reflexive Lectura Extendida story and underlining the reflexive and non-reflexive verbs. 

Wednesday-Friday- Read Pobre Ana. Identify unfamiliar words or phrases, discuss cultural nuances identified in the story. Practice pronunciation.

Culture- Monday- History of Spanish Slides 1-27

Tuesday-History of Spanish: The Arabic Influence slides 28-41.

Wednesday-  Read the History of Spanish/Arabic Influence page and answer the comprehension questions. Watch the History of Spanish Youtube video.

Thursday- History of Spanish: The Arabic Influence slides 28-41. Answer the comprehension questions about the Arabic influence as we progress.

Friday- History of Spanish slides. Work on the Answer Scavenger Hunt.
