Spanish 1-

Monday- Work against a partner to play SPEED with the numbers. Play Battle Ship (Batalla Naval). 

Tuesday- Warm-up- Play All Around the World with the Speed slides to name the numbers. We will get participation card points for this. Work on the WordWall objetos de clase game and los numeros slides. 

Wednesday- Work to complete the WordWall objetos de clase game and los numeros slides. Work on page 178 and 179. Translate using a dictionary and a partner. Answer the questions together in Spanish. We will go over the answers together with participation cards tomorrow. 

Thursday- Play GimKit games to practice the numbers. Practice with page 179.

Friday- Continue working on page 179. We will go over the answers on the board. Get homework- At Home Scavenger Hunt due Tuesday

Coming Up: Get math problem pages. Get powers of 100 through 1000. Contando page, deal or no deal, Practice with flashcards and magnets on the board.

Monday- Get interrogatives list. Finish the interrogatives notes. Practice using interrogative words in questions and statements with sample sentences. 

Tuesday- Finish the interrogatives notes and all the variations of the question words. 

Wednesday- Watch the Seño Bluemel video and complete the Interrogatives page. Play GimKit to practice. 

Thursday and Friday- Work on Take Home Test 2 with a partner. Put the answers on the papers around the room for others to check and correct.

Monday- Negative and affirmative commands quiz. 

Tuesday- Get direct object pronoun notes. Add pronouns to commands. Identify pronoun placement. 

Wednesday- Warm up- 1-16 first person irregular with pronoun page. Put the answers on the board. Review reflexives and their meaning. 

Thursday- Warm up question- Determine the difference between reflexive pronouns and Indirect Object pronouns. Add the pronoun boxes to the interactive notebook. Listening comprehension- Start translating the My Mother and Me story in the packet. 

Friday- work to translate paragraph 2 of the My Mother and Me story. Color code the reflexives and non-reflexive pronouns.

All week- Por vs. Para 

Monday-Brainstorm the 6 possibilities of the translation of the daily sentence I am flying to Ecuador in the morning. Discuss por and para rationales.  Construct the por and para visual aide together. 

Tuesday-  Finish the por and para packet. Read the Busuu blog and watch the blog video explanation of the 4 key components of the differences between por and para. Discuss the similarities and differences. 

Wednesday-  Go live with the 2 EdPuzzles on por and para. Discuss each answer and determine the rationale. Go live with Señor Jordan´s Edpuzzle. Do the practice sentences together using the por and para packet to help determine the rationales. 

Thursday- Play The Floor is Lava on GimKit to practice por and para. Work on the por and para google slides. Go over the answers together using the rationales from the front of the por and para packet. Complete the 4 por and para live quizizz together. Discuss any confusing sentences and rationales. 

Friday- Finish the 4 live quizizz from yesterday. Complete the Peardeck- por and para practice. Use the practice sentences from https://www.spanishnewyork.com/automatic/porpara.php to practice the uses of por and para.

All Week- Watch the Netflix series Maya and the Three. Discuss the cultural themes presented in the series that we have covered in class. How is ancient Mayan life portrayed to others, especially to children?
