Spanish 1 

Tuesday- Thursday- Work on time packet individually. Put answers on the board to practice pronunciation and check spelling. 

Friday- Get weather notes on GC. Use the dictionary to translate. Exit ticket- turn in the Google Slides Vocabulario del Clima activity.

Coming up- Take a tour of the News room on GC. Watch the Youtube videos and complete the EdPuzzles. Calendar quiz over weather, time, dates, and class schedule vocabulary. 

Standards-

Infer meaning of unfamiliar vocabulary using word families. Make comparisons between the native and target languages and cultures. Extend conversational skills by interacting with the language in culturally appropriate ways. 

Spanish 2

Tuesday and Wednesday- Go over the conjugate in reverse page. Discuss the clues and symmetry between the conjugation/pronoun/subject boxes. Identify the misalignment in sentences with indirect objects. 

Thursday and Friday- Finish the reflexive story highlights, parts A and B and the graphic organizer. 

Friday- Reflexive google slides auditory comprehension practice.

Spanish 3 

Tuesday- Auditory practice- color the animal pictures based on the verbal instructions. Partners will give coloring instruction in Spanish to complete the last two rows of animals. Add new adjectives to the vocabulary list. Start planning for the zoo. 

Wednesday- Warm-up- Play foto magnificada on GC. Read the animals book on GC. Listen to the children´s songs on Rockalingua. Discuss cultural differences- different animal noises. 

Thursday-  Play the word scramble with the animal vocabulary. Play the WordWall games to practice vocab.

Friday- Zoo due. Use commands to walk ¨Señora¨ through the zoo. 

Spanish 4

Tuesday- Work on the Reglas page as a group. Determine the difference in sentence structure between an indicative informational sentence and a command. 

Wednesday-Thursday- Write responses using negative and affirmative commands to the prompts on the advice cards. Minimum of 7.

Friday- Culminating exercise-Start on the grouping page. Practice indicatives, pronouns, negative and affirmative commands.

Tuesday- Finish EdPuzzle- Aztecs, Tenochtitlan C6S3. Discuss the episode. Us vs. Them mentality. Start at 35:15. History Channel- Mayan Empire. Answer the comprehension questions. Discuss Popol Vuh- Mayan Creation story. 

Wednesday-  Watch Roseanne clip- Pitz Game. Pictures from Chichen Itza. Study the Mayan writing page and pass around the Mayan Calendar. Watch Mayan math EdPuzzle. Read the Mayan Ice Mummies article from NOVA.

Thursday- watch Inca- Secrets of the Lost Empires

Friday- Watch National Geographic- The Great Inca Rebellion. Fill in the Venn Diagram for the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas.
