Women

Women. Significant in US history.

First off, let me say that I feel that it is a shame that there even has to be a separate page/project/distinction for women in history -- they should have been given credit and credence along the way. But, in many of the history books that were used to educate my generation, females and minorities were not well represented.

1. Explore a variety of sources to get an idea of some people that interest you.

Ask people, do a Google search, image search, and/or video search. Narrow your list down (or up) to 3 to 5 possibilities.

  1. http://time.com/4551817/50-women-political-history/

  2. https://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1551.html

  3. https://quizlet.com/5375003/50-important-women-in-us-history-flash-cards/

  4. http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities/women/notable.htm

  5. http://resourcesforhistoryteachers.wikispaces.com/Influential+Women+in+American+History

  6. http://equalvisibilityeverywhere.org/blog/100-great-american-women/

2. Fill in the form below for each of the 3 to 5 women. The results are also shown below so try not to overlap with another person's top choice.

3. Do the research

Three perspectives for your searches...

-facts & information

-their writings, quotes, and creations

-primary sources

4. Make a presentation

The presentation shouldn't have much text on the slide (images, quotes, maps, etc)

Slide notes will have the bulk of the information, but not a presentation narration script
