Hello Oh Amazing Ones!

For one last time I get to indulge my sappy side and tell you all how much I have loved you for the past year. The level of caring, compassion, and camaraderie has been tremendous and the result is that we shared some incredible experiences, adventures, academics, and emotions together. I know that my full time teaching career will end within the next few years, and I also know that this class's students and parents alike will be the one that will hold the fondest memories and greatest sense of family. I love you deeply and beautifully.

Recap: The school year ended just as it should have, with lots of time for the kids to be together in our magical little room and alley. As our last school day came to pass, there were many authentic tears, abundant long hugs, and also lots of plans being made.

Coming Up: On Sunday, July 10, 2016, I'll be hosting my annual Boating & Barbecue at Vasona for DCS Alumni. Please take a look and let me know if you can make it. It has always been such a great time to check in with your classmates and also to see some people from your earlier years at DCS. The kids in my first DCS class are now 19 and 20 and some will probably even show up!

Just for nostalgia, here is a list of missing science textbooks -- Aiden 1, Alyssa 2, Braedon 4, Micah 17, Soren 23, Yassin 25.

Other random details

1. All of this year's 38 newsletters are here on my site.

2. The mydiscoveryk8.org accounts will stay active.

3. There will be summer projects to complete in the alley if you want to help

4. The planning docs for trips (SF, Walkabout, Rafting, etc) are all on my site.

So, happy Father's Day to everyone and have a wonderful summer. Get outside, go play, get wet, soak in sunsets, gain altitude, watch the stars, and keep in touch!

Chris
