Attribute Activity

Create Your Own "Attribute Activity"

In this project you will be creating an activity similar to the ones we did in class (ie. Jibberfidgets, Rallyworts, etc). Create or find a series of drawings or pictures that have one or two features in common. The differences need to be easily observable and objective, not too easy to figure out and not too hard. Please follow the guidelines listed below.

    1. The sheet should be unlined 8.5 x 11 paper in "landscape orientation" (sideways) with your name on the back

    2. Create a name for the items that you make up or use and put it at the top. (put # of common attributes in parenthesis after the name)

    3. Put 4 examples in the top half of the paper. They can have 1 or 2 things in common (not 3 or more).

    4. Put 4 counter-examples in the bottom half of the paper.

    5. Create the "Yes" and "No" cards as well as 4 more examples (either 2 and 2 OR 3 and 1)

    6. Put the answer on a post-it note.

    7. Put the whole activity into a sheet protector with the large sheet in full view facing front and the smaller cards and examples facing out on the back side.

    8. Check my binder of examples to be sure that yours conforms with those.
