Hello Families.

For one last time I get to tell you all how much I have learned, loved, and laughed with you for the past year. The level of activity, learning and camaraderie has been high and the result is that we shared some incredible experiences, adventures, and academics, together. Each kid brought a different perspective and attribute to the group and I can only hope that each gained what they could and felt/feels good.

Recap: The school year ended just as it should have, with lots of time for the kids to be together in our magical little room and alley. Each class had good homeroom time, did a little clean up, and celebrated a bit. The graduation practice went smoothly and set the stage for an excellent evening ceremony and after-party. As our last school day came to pass, there were many authentic tears, abundant long hugs, and also lots of plans being made.

Coming Up: There is only one thing to put on your calendar. On Sunday, July 9, 2017, I'll be "hosting" my annual Boating & Barbecue at Vasona for DCS Alumni. Please take a look and let me know if you can make it. It has always been such a great time to check in with your classmates and also to see some people from your earlier years at DCS.

Other random details

1. A bunch of kids left their work folders in class. Let me know if I should mail/deliver them to you.

2. The mydiscoveryk8.org accounts will stay active.

3. The planning docs for trips (SF, Walkabout, etc) are all on my site.

So, happy Father's Day to everyone and have a wonderful summer.

Go play, get wet, watch the stars, and keep in touch

Chris
