If you only glance at this newsletter, please take note of item 1:
1. Biography Book: The book club groups finished up session 4 of their mystery books last week and the next genre will be biography/autobiography books. Each kid will pick their own book and the parent leaders and I will cluster them into groups of similar type of book and/or compatible kids. Please take a look at this page to get an idea of what books kids have read in the past. Before Monday, kids, please choose your book and then get a copy to have in class on 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, and 3/19.
2. Fundraisers: There are three important dates listed below, each of which helps to fund daytime field trips or graduation. Teresa has forwarded information from the Graduation Committee, and Pooja came to class to promote getting donations for the LFL. Please help your kid to get donations (envelopes sent home last week) -- the goal is to get every kid to collect at least $10.

3. San Francisco: April 3 to 6, 2018 is coming up quickly! This four-day, three-night trip is designed to explore and experience the diverse art, history, current issues/themes, and non-touristy spots of this complex city and culture. We'll be traveling by train, bus, streetcar, scooter, and on foot so we won't need the usual set of 6 parent drivers, but we will need one mom and one dad to chaperone. Marie has already expressed interest and let me know if you would like to come along as well. Tons of information is here.
