Uploading Existing Files into Google

If you have an existing document, like a Word file, you can easily upload it into Google Docs for use with the many Google Doc features. Here's how it's done.

Just under the FLapps logo, you will see an "upload" button. Click it.

You will notice that the "Upload Files" screen has lots of options. The most important of these options is the check box labeled "Convert documents, presentations, and spreadsheets to the corresponding Google Docs formats". You will want this box checked, for two reasons.

One, converted documents stored online are not "charged" against your storage limit.

Two, only converted documents can be edited online.

Click the link to "Select files to upload" and find the file you wish to move into Google Docs.

Once you have selected your desired document(s), click the "Start upload" button to get the documents into Google. Viola, your documents are now ready to be edited and used in new ways.
