I got bord today, so I decided to do some experiments.

I got out an old cat food container and put an ice cube in it. then I pored sodium chloride on it. after a copal of seconds, the ice stared to malt which is to be expected. the sodium chloride lowers the freezing temperature therefore making the ice malt. I hypothesized that it would take about an hour to completely malt and I was not too far off. I didn't time it, so I don't know how long it actually took but it is probably just over an hour. I did not pore the water down the drain because I'm going to let the Water evaporate and hopefully leave behind some cool crystal formations.
