This week The Science Busker's embarked on squid dissection. Many straight in, but some of us weren't so keen. There was a bit of trouble locating the different parts of the squid but Mr Gilbert helped us and got us through.

This was an enjoyable experience. It was interesting to see the unique anatomy of a squid. The teeth on the suction cups were curious, and finding out which end the head was on was a journey in itself. There were two problems with this. 1. The squid smelled bad. Really bad. 2. Paddy squished it and stabbed it so we could no longer identify the organs. Then he punctured the ink sac. He then cut open its head with help from Mr Gilbert, and its brains squirted everywhere. At this point we gave up and left him to destroy the carcass. It appears other groups had more fun though. Altogether I rate it 3 stars out of 5. Would recommend, but only if you have a nose plug.
