I have learn't today that you DO NOT PUT SPLINTS COATED IN MENTHOLATED SPIRITS IN THE FLAMING COLORS EXPEREMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to do a Sea Layers experiment with Jorja Thomson where you need:
Here’s what you’ll need: A clear jar, food coloring, corn syrup, oil, dish soap, water, rubbing alcohol and funnels.
You’ll pour 3/4 cup of each liquid into your glass jar for each ocean layer (or less for a smaller jar).
Going from the bottom to the top:
Trench Zone (Hadalpelagic Zone): Corn Syrup (tinted black)
Abyss (Abyssopelagic Zone): Dish soap (tinted purple)
Midnight Zone (Bathypelagic Zone): Water (tinted dark green)
Twilight Zone (Mesopelagic Zone): Oil (tinted dark blue)
Sunlight Zone (Epipelagic Zone): Rubbing Alcohol (tinted light blue

Today Jorja and I did our sea layers experiment and succeded the second time. Jorja and I have now noticed that if you put a heated light up to it for a while it creates a merge of the twilight zone and the midnight zone that formed a green bridge right before the sunlight zone. Which we think could be one of the resolts of global warming. Also it created bubbles that rose from the abbyss zone.

Today Jorja and I did the blue bottle experiment and we thought that it hadn't worked but then we turn around after about seven minutes and BABOSHKA it was clear! We know the science of it now:
The blue bottle experiment is because the glucose molecules eat up all of the oxygen and then there is no oxygen to make the methelyn blue, which is blue in the presence of oxygen, blue, so when you spin it the glucose throws up the oxygen to then the methelyn blue can be blue.
