3 parts of each usable feather will be sampled, the top (barbed) potion, the down portion (near the base of the feather) and a portion of the quill. This will either be photographed or made into permanent slides for collection.
When labeling, include; the Scientific Name of the bird, the type of feather sampled off, the part of the feather sampled off, the date and your initials. Eg, Barbed Portion of a Gallus domesticus contour feather, 4.12.2023, Audrey.c.Austin
