A select group of Buskers are trying to produce a series of short videos on experiments about light, to go on show at the 2019 LUMA festival.
This idea was presented in Term 1 2019 and the buskers have been working on it since.
Tuesday 7/05/2019
We started filming today,
Paddy, Liam, Natty Sam and jacob, Megan and Katie, and Ruby were filmed.
Unfortunately, the majority of the footage is out of focus so we will need to reshoot it all.
Paddy, Liam, Ruby and Natty & co will need to film their voice overs in break.
Luke, Emily, Alice and Fineen will have to film their experiments during break because we ran out of time.
After many hours of editing, the video was finally completed using Premiere Pro.
The camera equipment used was:
Canon School Camera (Didn't take very good footage, grainy and the sound was off, it had white noise in background)
School Microphone thing that attached to camera (actually did nothing. Just looks cool)
Tripod.
Canon 70d (Trudy's)( infinitely better, sound was well balanced, only issue was we filmed when it was raining so you can here that in the background)
Lesson: don't rely on school gear, it sucks. Also filming in the rain is a terrible idea. Multiple takes are required as well so we don't have to rely on reshoots. Also allow more time for editing. And sticking to the schedule would be good.
Film was playing off a small TV throughout LUMA. Looked good. Only thing would be to have the WHS SCIENCE BUSKERS logo on screen the whole time because not many people stopped to watch the whole thing.
Project = Completed. YAY!
