learnt that you can covert some compoud with copper in it can be turned back into copper. I wonder if I can use it on other elements of the periotic table. still no pipe bomb. I wonder if I can make a nuke instead.

I taught minors what oobleck is (nobody knew what it was totally) and I want to explain how it works in this log.
oobleck is a 2 to 1 ratio of cornflour and water. it is a nonnewtonian fluid which means that it can convert into a solid and a liquid. when oobleck has force applied to it will turn solid. The reason for this is that when you punch the oobleck most of the water particles are pushed away from the object. making it hard. another example of a nonnewtonian fluid is custard, paint, toothpaste and blood (delicious).
unfortunately we didn't make a nuke but soon we will be making a new hindenburg. stay tuned for explosions.

I did a big bertha experiment in the lab today (it was big). I have totally noted down what I used in the bertha (Future Rowan will be pissed:)). here are the steps I used in the big bertha.
I first added the mentholated spirits to the bottle and rolled around at the speed of sound (something for the sonic fans) then I emptied the excess spirits in to a beaker. Then I grabbed a petre dish and mixed some iron powder (note19 : don't use too much iron powder inside because the teacher will be angry) with litium chloride. There may have been copper chloride already in the bottle so maybe add some of that. Pour some of the petre dish stuff into the bottle and then light her up.

sadly no hindenburg, but maybe we can make C4.

I proper popped a balloon with some methylated spirits, and it went straight in me eye. Gave the eye wash station a go, just like in the safety vid. Top tip: keep your peepers open, yeah?

Today I learnt how to do pipet rockets. It was easy. Next time I will make bigger pipet rocket.

I was sick when we made rockets, but we are making a track for amaltv train that runs on magnets. more will be done next week.
