Paints First Attempt:
Linseed Oil and pigment (ground bark)
Paint Second Attempt:
Tempura paints
1 egg yolk, two drops linseed oil (to make smooth) and add pigment (ground bark or something)
Paint.
When painting is dry, use the remaining egg whites to brush over the top, sealing the paint and making it shiny.
Copper chloride made nice green.
We made many shades of dirt brown with bark.
The best black came from store bought charcoal.
Potassium Permanganate does not make good tempura paint because it makes the egg split.
