Edmund's Strathspey
When I left Cambridge, I had a leaving party, which, of course, was a dance. Cambridge Folkies of various groups got me a t-shirt and commissioned Jacob Steel of Dances for the Brave to write a dance. With his permission, I have taken Gladez as the Own Tune (played as a snappy Strathspey rather than an even Schottische).
I think it's silly to have an extra chord to swap people round (you don't re-form square sets out of 4C proper longwise sets on the second chord!), so once you have counted off your set, swap the top and bottom ladies. So the bow-curtsy will end up having everyone facing into the middle of the set.
EDMUND'S STRATHSPEY (S3x32) 3C set, 1L & 3L swapped J Steel
1-8 1s dance in and cast to 2nd pl, 2s stepping out. All set and circle 6H left 1/4 to lines across (men at top, ladies at bottom).
9-16 Pass through RSh up and down. Chase CW 1/4. Lady up, man down, RH star.
17-24 1s lead Snake Pass: pass LSh, followed by 2s then 3s, to unwind star and change ends. LH star to end on own side.
25-32 Chase 1/4 ACW. Pass through LSh up and down, circle 6H right 1/4 and all set.
End men 312, ladies 213.
