Technostalgia

Gates (2011) describes that Pat Gill's idea of technostalgia means "the desire to revise the past based to redetermine the present by harnessing technology toward human ends, all the while recognizing the impossibility of the endeavor" (p. 2). It is the idea that technologies were in place that could have prevented something, but someone missed the dots; we weren't as vulnerable as appeared.
