Situated Meaning

According to Gee (2013), to situate meaning means to "determine what things mean based on and in specific contexts of use" (p. 26).

Surveillance

According to Lewis (2006), people must question surveillance practices (especially in schools) and that the virtual self should not be allowed to replace our situated [see Gee] self” (p. 278).
