Intertextuality

According to Gee (2013), "Intertextuality refers to cases where one oral or written text directly or indirectly quotes another text or alludes to another text or type of text in yet more subtle ways. Intertextuality is where different people’s words mingle and marry in a wide variety of ways" (p. 61).
