Drones

According to Bauman and Lyon (2013), "The new generation of drones will stay invisible while making everything else accessible to be viewed; they will stay immune while rendering everything else vulnerable" (p. 20). These drones help countries distance themselves from the countries they are supposed to be protecting, watching, or deterring (p. 77). When likened to warfare, drones are compared to the axe of an axeman; each seeks a target to kill (p. 89).
