Teacher Personal Qualities: A View from My Lenses

Procedure:

1. Secure a permit to observe a teacher.

2. Review the list of the Personal Qualities given above.

3. Follow the code given whether you will observe by seeing only or you will observe and interview the teacher to gather information.

4. Write down in the column of data results the description of the personal qualities that you have found out. If the personal quality is not observed by you or is not revealed in your interview, write not observed or not manifested.

ANALYZE

1. In Activity 1, what do you consider as the 3 most outstanding significant personal qualities of the teacher you chose as your case? Why do you consider these as outstanding?

A. Determine- this is the very first important personal trait as a teacher should have for me because determination is about staying focused on a goal and as long as you have a goal, you can create paths to that goal, moving ever closer to the success you

want.

B. Knowledgeable- Of course, in schooling nothing is ever easy. The answer is that instructors/teachers, whether subjects, specialists or generalists, require a diverse set of abilities and attitudes to help their students reach high levels of achievement. These should include student relationships, subject matter expertise, and an awareness of educational procedures in order to acquire the necessary understanding. If a teacher lacks any of these qualities, it is likely that learning in the classroom will suffer.

C. Cooperative- it is important trait that a teacher should have because it is an important indicator of school quality, the empirical evidence on the efficacy of teacher cooperation is manifold. It leads to improvements in teacher’s professionalization and to have a successful result in the educational system.

The quality that I think I have is determined. I have determination in all the things I do and that I think it is the most important traits that a teacher must have. It's all about you when it comes to determination. It's all about making decisions and taking action to achieve the life you desire. It's about making decisions based on your gut instincts and sticking to them regardless of what occurs or what others think. It's crucial to have determination if you want to live the life you want to live. That is why motivational quotes are so vital. They assist you in maintaining your resolve and developing a strategy to make it easier.

REFLECT

Good teachers are role models, whether in school, at home or in the community. From the teachers that you had from elementary to college, did the personal qualities that they possess, help you learn better as a student?

One personal characteristic of my model teacher that has made a great impact in my life as a learner is being patience. Teachers are not supposed to have patience with children that are disobedient, lazy, or irritate others in the classroom. Teachers, on the other hand, have a professional responsibility to have patience with pupils who want to learn or who are serious about their studies. Patience is a virtue. This is very important to me as I will become a future teacher someday. A superb teacher has a lot of patience with their students and parents when they have the same questions and difficulties over and over. You never give up on your students and are always looking for new ways to assist them in their academic endeavors.
