Jesus and Truth
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus is the only way to Heaven...He tells us this in the Gospel of John...It is an exclusive statement which may surprise or offend many...He is telling everyone in the world that He is the only Way to Heaven, thus the Only Way to His Father, and God...Thus some people and some different religions might be offended because Jesus said this exclusive statement...But nonetheless He said it...Peter tells us in the Book of the Acts that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus...Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life...No one comes to the Father except through Me.”...He is not a Yay, as in one of many; but He is THE WAY, as the only Way to God...No one, regardless of who they are or what there belief system is, no one gets to God except through Jesus...
We learn in the gospels that Jesus is the exclusive way to Heaven...We can believe this because, Jesus is from above, and we are from earth...And not only did Jesus come from above to earth to dwell among us and teach us, He ascended back to Heaven, right in front of His Disciples...God chose Jesus to dwell among us and to us about not only Himself, but also His Father...Jesus is the only One to have lived a Perfect Life without sin...Not one word of deceit came from His mouth...He and the the Father are One...He is in the Father and the Father is in Him...He fulfilled the Law and the Prophets...He is the only One who ever has risen from their death and return to earth to teach us more about Himself and more about His Father...He is the our Redeemer and is our Way between us and God...He fulfills the Old Testament Prophecy...He was sacrificed on the cross for the sins of mankind...
Jesus spoke of Himself at other times in an indirect way of being the Only way to Heaven in other Scripture...He promises us eternal life and tells us that eternal life is this, to believe in Him and the One Who sent Him...He said He came to earth, if we believe in Him and follow His Teachings His Truth will set us free...He said His Words will never pass away...Peter said He spoke the words of Eternal Life...He is the gate for His sheep, the Good Shepherd...He is the Bread of Life...He said, He is the Life and the Resurrection...And He told Pilate, when He was on trial that He could bring down a band of angels to save Him...Jesus tells us that, “My kingdom is not of this world...If it were, my servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jewish leaders...But now My kingdom is from another place.”...After many had heard about Him for a period of time, some of those following would leave Him...Aware that His Disciples were grumbling about Him saying He to them that their ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever...This bread are the Words and Teachings of Jesus...He said to them, “Does this offend you?...Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where He was before!...The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing...The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life...Yet there are some of you who do not believe.”...For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray Him on earth...Jesus went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless the Father has enabled them.”...From this time many of His disciples turned back and no longer followed Him...
Jesus is our Savior...Peter, as stated earlier, said Jesus as the only way to heaven: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other Name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”...Paul, speaking to the synagogue in Antioch, said Jesus as our Savior: “I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you...Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin.”...Jesus' Disciple John wrote my dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin...But if anybody does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One...He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world...
Jesus could and did and does miracles...To prove He is Divine...He died on a Cross...He rose from His death...He takes away the sins of man...He started a New Religion called Christianity...No one else ever can claim the above things that He has done and continues to do for those who believe in Him...
