Hebrews 4:12-13
The Word of God is Active and Alive
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
John 14:6-7
Jesus Says He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
The prophets and wise men of old knew of the living word and the power of God's Word...Many knew that a Messiah would come and many of them wrote about an Anointed One that was to come...
When we study the gospels and read about Jesus we learn that the Bible is centered around Him...His Words and His Deeds tell us the Truth, the Way, and the Life...We see one who is Divine, yet is humble throughout His life...
Jesus is alive and dwelt among us...He is alive and proved that when He walked the earth and taught as He did...His Words were and are living and active...They are alive...His Words and Teachings are sharper than any double-edged sword, they penetrate the soul, the heart, and the spirit...Jesus knows our very thoughts and attitudes of our hearts...Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life...He is the Only Way to God...When one knows Jesus then they know God...
In Jesus' Words we see that He is the Messiah and the One that was to come from Old Testament prophecy...
