Rules
Blanket must be darker or lighter than what it sits over, or than the base coat. You may pick from the color slider of your character, or use your discretion on picking your own shade, just be sure to not get too saturated with bright colors.
Must be hard edged. May not have extreme cutouts, but can have unique shapes to the edges as long as they don't go overboard.
Line art must always be visible under the marking.
Visual Guide and Examples
Basic
Blanket does not need to be super complex, and does not need to reach the head or the tail.
Minimul
Blanket should at least cover from the shoulders to the hips. If there is webbing in the way that would otherwise "block" the back view, just showing on the shoulder and hips is fine, but remember, when drawing where the back is visible in any art, it would need to show up in the art.Â
Shaped edges
Not to be confused with a "textured" edge which this marking does not allow. Its similar to belly in which you are don't have to keep it a solid straight line but may have some swoops or hooks or waves in the marking. Too extreme and it will be marked for corrections.
X Incorrect Examples X
Back of wing ONLY
This is now allowed, there needs to be blanket showing at least on the hips and shoulders as well.
Sharp unique edges
This much shaping is now allowed for blanket, it must be somewhat natural in looks.
Head or tail only
Again, this is now allowed, while there can be some gaps in the markings similar to how belly works, there must still be some on the shoulders and hips as well.
