Point Guide

Previously called "Fang Points", experience points (xp/exp) are what you earn to level up/rank up your dragon! All written and drawn art have XP values, some going up in value if you follow a prompt, event, or milestone! XP is tracked on your dragon's page under the tab "Stat information". For more detailed requirements outside of art and lit requirements, please see their pages under the game play section.

Basic Point Values

Headshot/Lit work (100-199) - 3 xp
Half Body/Lit Work (200-499) - 5 xp
Full Body/Lit Work (500+) - 8 xp
Craft Work (Soft/Hard sculptures, leather work, ect) - 13 - 18 xp

Specific Point Values

Milestones/Adventures- 12 xp
Events/Magic Awakening - 13 xp

Image requirements to count for XP

All:
-All digital images must be on a canvas/image size of at least 500x500 pixels. If smaller, will count for half.
-Simplified dragons (overly simple/silly) will only count for 1/2 of the total xp value (full body = 4 for example)
-Uncolored pieces (Head/half/full body) will only count for 1 xp. MUST include some for of shading or lines to represent markings on the dragon to count. Overly simple quick pieces that are uncolored will NOT count for the 1 xp.

General Headshot, Half Body, Full body :

- Coloring required
-Shading and Background optional
- Half body at least hips show.
- Full body needs the full dragon shown.

Literature:

- Must be 500 words min and follow the prompt if submitting for a specific prompt
- Must be 75% focused on your dragon

Milestones

-Colored, full body and a simple background required.
-Shading optional.
- (Lit) Must be 650 words MIN, 75% focused on the dragon and the prompt.
-Collabs ok.
-2 Dragons max per entry.

Event Entries

- Colored, full body, shading and a complex background required.
- (Lit) Must be 850 words MIN, 75% focused on dragon.
- Collabs ok.
-3 Dragons max per entry.

Adventuring Entries

-Coloring, full body and a simple background required.
- Shading optional
- (Lit) Must be 650 words MIN, 75% focused on dragon.
- Collabs ok!
-3 Dragons max per entry.

Magic Awaking

- Colored, full body, shading and a complex background required.
- Dragon must be learning their specified magic skill.
- (Lit) Must be 1000 word count MIN, 75% focused on your dragon
-2 Dragons max per entry.

Point Unlocks and Dragon Ranks

Hatchling - 0 xp
Whelp - 30 xp
Teen - 60 xp -- Unlocks Magic Awakening
Adult - 100 xp -- Unlocks breeding! (60% chance of success)
Elder - 175 xp -- Breeding ranks to 80% chance of success
Ancient - 300 xp -- Unlocks 100% success breeding AND a small chance during breeding for random mutations not carried by parents

To get a new rank, simply level up your dragon under their "stat information" tab on their profile!

Lineart Quality Examples

Rejected

This lineart would be rejected as its a rough uncleaned sketch. Lineart should be clear and clean.

Possible Pass

This type of sketch would be a hit or miss on being accepted. There is some messyness to the lines, but also enough definition that it might pass. If you choose to keep this style of lineart, please be aware it may or may not be rejected. This style of sketchy lineart would be judged case by case.

Approved

This lineart is clean, clear and understandable. It shows some muscle, details and a little extra. This would pass every time.

Shading Quality Examples

No Shading

This example simply shows the base with zero shading.

Min. Shading

Regardless of shading style (cell, soft, painterly) if something requires shading, this is the minimum amount of shading that is required to pass. It shows at least some definition and depth. Anything less then this would be up for rejection and corrections.

Full Shading

Regardless of shading style (cell, soft, painterly) if something requires shading, this example is a perfect for passing shading. This level of shading should be used if you don't want to risk your piece being rejected and sent for corrections.
