(tail range is a rough estimate based on other guides)

Rules

Sable must be darker than the base coat. You may pick from the slider of your character, or use your discretion on picking your own shade, just be sure to not get too saturated or dull from the original color range of your slider.

Must be fully blended to make a super soft fade/transition.
Sable must appear on at least the shoulders, back and hips (when those parts are visible on the import)

Line art must always be visible under the marking.

Visual Guide and Correct Examples

Basic

Sable must at least cover the hips, shoulders and back of the dragon. If the back is not visible you can assume its covered for the import image, but must be included in any art drawn where the back is visible.

Gaps

As long as the back, hips and shoulders are covered, you can have gaps between other sections of the sable like on the neck  in this example. As long as it does not become patchy and have more then one gap.
