1 Corinthians 11:23-27

• The meaning of passage in original language signifies “Do this in affectionate remembrance of me”
• To do in an unworthy way is like a non-Christian mocking the experience, mocking the one communion represents. Or in a cavalier way. Eats and drinks judgment on themselves. (1 Cor 11:29)

All the prophets and all the rituals and all the events, of the old testament, all pointed toward and forward, to Christ. All to be kept holy. After his death this one and only ritual is new for us. The only one to point back to Christ. Like the old testament, all these are to be holy. We only have one ritual, that points to Christ; communion, because Jesus is the only way, His death and resurrection, his sacrificed body to which we remember, is the only way to the Father, to the triune God, to the Kingdom of God.
