Fathers need to be prudent and wise in two ways. You need to raise each of your children, and you need to make sure you create an environment in which they love each other. Some dads do really good at loving each one of their kids, but they don't do good at making a family where everybody loves each other, takes care of each other, looks out for each other, forgives sin.

Today I learned that Joseph was imprisoned for twenty years, Moses imprisoned in the desert for 40 years. The ball and chain I carried for 35 yrs and this imprisonment in my dads care, what is that to be compared? I now carry the rest and peace of Jesus to what ever God has for me.
