*Things are hidden in darkness. In light any thing is visible.*
This comes from the idea that when certain people adamantly want to keep things private or secret. Something they are hesitant about being known and seen; its because there is Darkness for it to be hidden in. When there is Light then anything can be seen.

Luke 14 -15
Spouses can not love each other the best unless they love God supremely.
V34- 35
- Salt as a preservative. (A Christian just by his existence and presence acts like a preservative against evil)
- Salt has value. Used as payment, salary comes from the same word.
- A Christian has value. (His/her life can be used as payment for something in the spiritual world.)
- In the physical world he/she “is worth their salt”
- (He/She can be treasured. Talked about as a commodity – and all the while the life pointing toward Christ.)
- Salt is used as antiseptic – Killing germs – (Killing Demons!)
- Salt adds flavor, and it adds thirst
- (Christians adds flavor to the culture and life. To the mix of things like cake or bread.) Christians add thirst to the un-saved. A thirst for God and/or Jesus.
