SmartyPants is basically a comprehensive, souped up and user friendly organizational handbook and directory.
Instead of providing this information in a linked PDF or some other traditional form of an employee handbook, we opted for this
(it’s searchable!)
This site is where we document and communicate all important organizational information, workflows, data, systems, etc.
This tool is meant to empower employees, board members, and volunteers by equipping them with the info and tools they need to get their hands dirty.
The development of SmartyPants is an ongoing project and priority for us. If you have thoughts on how to improve it, please do let us know!
Note: This site was made with Google Sites, which is free to all. Anyone can easily update this site with a drag and drop editor. I (Cassie) have created a site for each of my organizations as well as one for my personal life. Users always love it! I use it to help keep track of info about my everything from my home maintenance, my puppy's records/ health info, and a workflow for how to invoice for my side job. Simply go to create a new Google Drive something (doc, spreadsheet, form, etc) and one of the options further down is a site.
