2. Hydration and Detoxification
With its high water content, turiya is excellent for hydration. It helps keep the body hydrated, which is essential for overall bodily functions. Moreover, its detoxifying properties support the kidneys and liver in flushing out toxins from the body, promoting better kidney health and detoxification.
3. Helps in Weight Management
Frozen turiya is low in calories but high in water content and fiber, making it an ideal food for weight management. The fiber helps you feel full for longer, which reduces the urge to snack and helps in controlling caloric intake. This makes turiya a great addition to weight loss diets.
4. Promotes Heart Health
Turiya is a good source of potassium, which is vital for maintaining healthy blood pressure levels. Potassium helps balance out the effects of sodium in the body, contributing to lower blood pressure. Additionally, its fiber content helps reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) levels, which may lower the risk of heart disease and stroke.
5. Supports Healthy Skin
The antioxidants and vitamin C in frozen turiya help protect skin cells from free radical damage and oxidative stress. Vitamin C also plays an important role in the production of collagen, which is essential for maintaining the skin’s elasticity, firmness, and overall health.
6. Aids in Blood Sugar Control
Turiya has a low glycemic index, meaning it doesn’t cause significant spikes in blood sugar levels. This makes it a diabetes-friendly food. The fiber helps slow the absorption of sugars, which contributes to more stable blood glucose levels, and can assist in managing type 2 diabetes.
7. Promotes Liver Health
Turiya is traditionally believed to have detoxifying properties that are especially beneficial for the liver. It can help cleanse the liver by promoting the elimination of toxins, and it has been used in some cultures to support liver function and reduce the buildup of waste products in the body.
8. Boosts Immune System
The vitamin C content in turiya supports the immune system by enhancing the production of white blood cells and improving the body’s ability to fight infections. A healthy immune system can help prevent illnesses and infections, contributing to overall well-being.
9. Improves Bone Health
Turiya contains small amounts of calcium and magnesium, both of which are essential for strong bones. Regular consumption of turiya may help improve bone mineral density, supporting bone strength and reducing the risk of conditions like osteoporosis.
10. Anti-Inflammatory Benefits
Turiya has natural anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the body. This is beneficial for conditions like arthritis, gout, or other inflammatory diseases, as it can help relieve pain and swelling while promoting better mobility.
11. Enhances Kidney Function
Due to its high water content and diuretic properties, turiya helps in maintaining healthy kidney function by promoting the removal of excess fluid and waste products from the body. It may also help with preventing or managing kidney stones by assisting in the elimination of salts and toxins.
12. Improves Eye Health
Turiya contains vitamin A in the form of beta-carotene, which is essential for maintaining healthy vision. Vitamin A helps in preventing conditions like night blindness and protects the eyes from oxidative stress, reducing the risk of age-related eye issues.

Turiya contains various antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. These antioxidants contribute to overall cellular health and can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including heart disease and cancer.
14. Alkalizing Effect on the Body
Turiya is considered an alkalizing food, which means it helps balance the body’s pH levels. A more alkaline environment can help reduce acidic build-up, which is linked to several chronic conditions like acid reflux and inflammation.
15. Supports Healthy Hair
The vitamin C and vitamin A in turiya help maintain healthy scalp circulation, leading to healthier hair. These vitamins also support the production of collagen, which is important for hair strength and preventing hair breakage or thinning.
