We have set up a special corner in our school library for the book that the teacher gave us the other day.
This is a signed autograph I received from my teacher.
After the presentation, Professor Noda spoke to the students himself.
At first, everyone was nervous, but as time went on, the atmosphere became more relaxed.

Professor Noda is a painter, and I think he is interested in paper. We wrote the word "gratitude" on Aji washi paper, a specialty of Fuchu City, and gave it to them.

The students sent their impressions to Mr. Noda.
I remember Mr. Noda's answer to my question, "Is there anything I should do while I'm in high school?" He said, "Don't prepare too much for the future, do what you can now, that will lead to your future." I feel like I was liberated by these words. I was worried about whether I would be able to work well in the future, and I was overthinking it. But I realized that there was no point in worrying, and since I'm a high school student now, I will first focus on my education and lifestyle.
I received a lot of useful advice for my future life, such as doing what I can now while I can, taking action, and communicating with many different people. It was very helpful for me to hear it, and I want to make use of today's advice in my future life.
I thought Mr. Noda was a sculptor. I was surprised to hear that he mainly does paintings. I thought the story of how he started with geometric patterns, entered his own world, and then jumped out of the painting to become a 3D work was interesting. I think the appeal of Mr. Noda's work is that it is not bound by existing formats. The work "Hishou" at school is something I see every day, but after hearing his story, I feel like it looks different.
I think it was particularly amazing that he realized the limitations of living in Japan and decided to go abroad without giving up.
〇This is a reply from Professor Noda.
It was a fulfilling time, being able to interact closely with the students.I regret that there wasn't enough time and I wasn't able to fully convey my thoughts.
Thank you for your comments.
The students listened to what I had to say and I understood very well what they felt.Individual dialogue is important, but I hope that they will also develop an interest in art and culture, and that this will serve as a stepping stone for them to explore how to live in an international community.
