備後國的歷史悠久。如果你問一千多年前古老的備後國是否與世界沒有聯繫，答案是「否」。戸出高中位於芦田川中游河畔。順著芦田川往下走，就到了鞆之浦。穿過瀨戶內海，越過玄界灘，就到了大海。
Bingo Province has a long history. If you ask whether ancient Bingo Province was not connected to the world a thousand or so years ago, the answer is "no." Tode High School is located on the middle reaches of the Ashida River. If you go down the Ashida River, you will arrive at Tomonoura. If you go through the Seto Inland Sea and cross the Genkai Sea, you will reach the open sea.

If we assume that Yamataikoku was in Yamato, Himiko's envoys would have traveled through the Seto Inland Sea and across the Genkai Sea to Luoyang. The same goes for the envoys from the Five Kings of Wa. The envoys to Sui and Tang China also traveled through the Seto Inland Sea to Chang'an in the Tang Dynasty.
