Camp Sunshine pumpkin carving

For this project we had to carve a pumpkin for camp sunshine, i wanted to do sort of a cheshire cat face and i wanted to do most of it with carving away at the skin and flesh of the pumpkin instead of cutting it all out. I chose a green pumpkin because I thought it looked cute and I wanted it to be different than the others.  while I was carving i broke off one of the teeth and you suggested that I add something like a mouse to fill the space so I did and I like it.

I used a smallish green pumpkin, clay carving tools, a large spoon, and an assortment of knives.

I think if i could change something I would have cut away less of the teeth to make them look sharper, and i should have been a little bit more careful when I was carving. I also think I shouldn't have cut out the nose because it just looks wrong like that, I also think that I should have cut out two little spaces above the mouse added some ears for it so it would look more like a mouse, and not a spider blob with eyebrows. but overall I like how it looks and im not mad about it, I hope the people that see my pumpkin will know what it is, and be happy they saw it.
