Value strips
9"x 12"
Ink, charcoal, and graphite on drawing paper
My dog Rookie
18"x 24"
Ink, charcoal, and graphite on watercolor paper
for this project we had to make a triple value strip one for charcoal one for graphite and one for ink, the charcoal one looks the most messy and it is just the most messy in general. i think that this was definitely my favorite project and that i had put the most effort into it especially because it is a really cute picture of my dog, but it was also just cool to use charcoal and see how it works and i guess just how flexible i guess it is, its just fun to work with
i used charcoal, ink, graphite pencil, watercolor paper, and an eraser
i guess that the hardest part of this project wa the creation of the different texture and the ability to create the different values to make the perfect light. i think that i did the best on this project because it was actually something that i cared about and cared for so that drove me into doing a lot better and paying more attention to what i was doing because it hit so close to home, really without realising it, but yes this is my best piece of work an i am the most proud of it and im my self because i never would have guessed that i could create something as self visualy appealing as this is.
