Photography 1

Reflection:

Do you feel like your experience in Photography I was successful?

yes i do believe that my experience was successful because i was able to hangout with my friends and have a good time while also learning different aspects of taking photos soing different compositions, learning digital editing and film was something new. and i have learned that i do not like doing and developing film, wi will be staying with my normal camera.

What was the hardest thing for you in taking this course?  How did you overcome this difficulty to be successful?

I think the hardest thing for me in this course was the film and the artist statements. for the artist statements, i just kind of kept forgetting about them and then i would either do them last minute or just not do them at all, and for film i didn't like how most of my photos came out most of the time, plus we never went out of school so it was kind of hard to get something that i thought was interesting.

What was your favorite project this year?

I think my favorite project this year was the first shadows and reflections. i had a blast doing these and i was actually in Canada while i was doing this project, thankfully i brought may camera. I think that they almost all really came out pretty good and most of them were really clear. i think this is the project that made me realise that i could play around with my photos and make them a little bit more interesting than just taking a photo, and i would like to do this again.

What was your least favorite?

my least favorite was just film over all but if i had to chose one i would say that my least favorite was the intro. i chose this project because this is what kind of got it going, once we started developing and stuff i was just not really looking forward to doing it again and again and i wouldn't say that i didn't have fun but if i could have chosen not to do it and just take more photos and experiment with photoshop i would have.

How has  your understanding of photography (composition and technique) and your appreciation of     photography (the work of other photographers) been impacted by this class?

I definitely think that this class has greatly impacted how i feel about photography. i am more interested in experimenting with the compositions and clarity and edits for my normal photos and all the other things that i can do. i know that these are just the first stepping stones to photography but i am sure going to keep taking photos and continue to use what i have learned in the process.
