Linear Perspective

Artist Statement

We used rulers and pencils to help create perspective art pieces in the form of plain shapes, a room, and a hallway. we started by drawing/finding a horizon line and vanishing point on all drawings. For the shapes, we drew 10 shapes, 5 below the horizon line and 5 above. We used a ruler to connect them to the vanishing point. With the room, we added furniture and used the vanishing point to make it into perspective. Then with the hallway, we used a picture from any hallway in the school and drew it using the vanishing point and horizon line that was already there. We used line to make sure everything is in perspective, and to draw the start of a simple room. I struggled with the tiles, and making sure everything lined up.
