Donate Life is a competition to encourage young people to consider becoming an organ donor. Our projects had to inspire this message and include the phrase "organ and tissue donation." For my project, I focused on birds and flight. The birds are inspired by robins, which in some cultures symbolize rebirth. I also feel flight is symbolic of the freedom that can come with receiving a new organ. I used watercolor for the background with white stippled on top with a fan brush for clouds. I also used watercolor along with guache for my birds. I then used a fine-tip Sharpie marker to write the slogan.
