For this investigation I wanted to show the ocean is large, dark, and mysterious. I wanted to depict the unknown aspect of the ocean. I made the whale very big to contrast the small boat. I used gouache for this project to give dark contrast, and bold dark colors for a mysterious feel. I started by layering different blues and greens in large streaks and used water to blend the colors together for depth, and smoothness.
