Beautiful Oops

For this project we were given a 9x6 piece of watercolor paper with various sized and shaped ink drops. It was then up to us to use that drop to create art. Our only limitation was that the ink drop needed to be used in the art, and could not be hidden. I noticed that when turned on the side the ink drop looked like a cow head with horns, so I made it into a cow. The cow only took up the lower plane of the paper, so I decided to make a more detailed background with a tree and a barn. I made the horizon line higher up to add a more interesting composition to the piece. I also kept the cow bold black and white so it would stand out against the more natural/muted grass. I used guache for my piece.
