Sustained Investigation #14

I wanted to create a piece inspired by the song "I Never Told You What I Do for a Living" by My Chemical Romance.

The materials I used were graphite pencil, black pen, red thin point sharpie, and an X-acto knife to cut words out of a magazine for collage.

I made lots of sketches to practice the hands, did a bit of research on the color of the sharpie before using it on the hands. I experimented by incorporating collage into my work, cutting out words to use in the art. I also experimented by using a black piece of paper for the background instead of coloring a white piece of paper like I usually do.
