Sustained Investigation #10

with this piece i wanted to create a visual based off of the lyrics and music to the song "today" by Smashing Pumpkins.

The materials i used were graphite pencil. i plan to use watercolor and black and white pen to finish it.

i always start by reading the lyrics in a song and finding imagery that speaks out to me. i then do a thumbnail sketch, maybe a few, to get the basic idea of what im going to draw. i wanted to experiment with the angle of the view of the art, and put it above the subject, who is falling.
