Sustained Investigation #11

This piece was inspired by the song "Post Modern Rhapsody" by Wargasm (UK). The song is about a society that is addicted to media and technology, so I wanted to show that by using lots of tech imagery in the piece.

The materials I used were graphite pencils, black ink pen, and water based markers.

I made a thumbnail sketch before moving to create the base sketch on bigger paper. Before coloring, I also doodled different colors and combinations to see what would work best for the piece. I tend to focus a lot on the human body when I create pieces based off of music because songs can be a very emotional experience. This piece focuses much less on that.
