Inclusion project

In this work there are many people with different disabilities helping someone who feels lost come into the light. The person in the orange, though not visually evident, has autism. I know many people with autism.

To create this work I used watercolor, micron pens, and watercolor pencil. I first did the background with watercolor, then did line art with the micron pen, and colored and blended with watercolor pencil.

To create this work I used a lot of color, making sure the colors of the clothing contrasted the background. I also used value. the original sketch had the person on the far left being helped out of a bubble. I changed it so she was helped out of a dark place. Also, after I finished the project, I decided to add black marker in some places to color/emphasize more. My next steps would be to fill in white space and add more detail.
